Brag page
Thank you to our members,
here is a brag on some of you!!
Rachel Hendrix and Blazin Ta Fame finished 4th in the nation
at National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Rachel Hendrix finished 18th Friday at the Las Vegas Show and took 4th in the open 1d and hit the third on Sunday to finish in the money on Sunday.
On a lighter note. She won All-Around Cowgirl for Nevada State High School Rodeo and Champion Barrel Racer for Nevada State High School Rodeo and All-Around Cowgirl for State Finals and Reserve Champion in Pole Bending for the State!!
Kora graduated from Dixie High after completing two pathways in Animal Science and Welding.
Most only do one pathway if any at all.
(Pathways certify the person as being specialized in the specific area's).
Kora also qualified and competed at the High School rodeo finals in Heber City.
She made some beautiful runs putting her 14th in the State in barrels and 17 in the state in poles.
This was specifically at the finals.
I'm not sure where she ended up within all of the rodeo's because we didn't go to all of the rodeo's.
My handsome 12 year old Wyat competed in the Jr High School rodeo's.
He qualified for state in breakaway and bareback.
In the Jr High, they bareback & saddle bronc on huge steers.
They use all of the same rig-gen as they would for horses but use steers to teach the younger kids the technique. Wyat missed his breakaway but ended up 3rd over all in the State of Utah on bareback.
That placed him on the National Team.
With broncs/bareback being new, the winners don't compete at Nationals.
Most states are already incorporating it into their rodeo's, so in two years it will be a national event.
Way excited for Wyat.
Kaytlyn Miller won the average in the poles and goat tying,
also the Rookie of the year and reserve all around at the Utah Jr High State Rodeo.
She is also going to Nationals in Goats Barrels and Poles
CJ Miller and Karlie Peason are going Silver State in Team roping placing 8th in the Utah State High school Rodeo!!!
Bubbles (Lady Pocahantas Star) and Carol Lamb
took 9th in the 5D at the South Point on Sunday for $181. Not bad for 74 years young!
Congratulations to Kathy Millhiser on her win at the Pro Rode in Yuma!
